Schauber Stables

Schauber Stables, LLC is pleased to announce its Family Fun Activities!  These "activities" are geared toward the family who lives locally and wants to have a mini-vacation in their own backyard or toward the family vacationing in the Capital District area! 

 FAMILY FUN TOUR:

If you want an activity the entire family will enjoy - then come to Schauber Stables, LLC for a "Family Fun Tour."  The "Family Fun Tour" consists of a tour of the facilities, an opportunity to feed treats to some of the horses, a visit with our adorable (and occasionally naughty) goats, a pony ride for all the children, an opportunity to learn about horses as well as an opportunity for the children to make a craft!  Participants of Schauber's "Family Fun Tour" are welcome to 'hang out' afterwards in our gazebo, take in the sights and enjoy a picnic lunch!  (You can either bring a picnic lunch or have pizza etc. delivered to you.)  If you do decide to 'hang out' afterward please keep a watchful eye on your children and make sure they follow all the barn rules.  

The cost for the Family Fun Tour is $30.00 (which includes up to 2 adults and 2 children).  Each additional person is $5.00.

 HORSE ENCOUNTER:

If you want to have an up close "encounter" with a friendly equine Schauber Stables, LLC has just what you are looking for.  Our "Horse Encounter" includes a 30 minute private riding lesson (on the horses back) and an additional 30 minutes with a member of Schauber Stable's experienced staff learning how to care for the horse, including brushing and tacking the horse.  Your "Horse Encounter" may even include an opportunity to hand graze the horse! 

The "Horse Encounter" costs $60.00.  

A "Horse Encounter" for two riders costs $90.00.  (The lesson is approx 45 minutes long.)

A "Horse Encounter" for three riders costs $120.  (The lesson is between 45 and 60 minutes long.)

 DAY PASS

Children ages 6 to 14 can 'drop' in to school vacation camp and enjoy the same camp activities that Schauber's Campers are doing, including having a riding lesson, learning about horses, making some arts and crafts, participating in some farm chores and more.  Schauber's Drop In Vacation Camp is available for either the full day (9 to 3) or half day (either 9 - 12 or 12 - 3).   For more information regarding the activities that the camper's at Schauber Stables participate in, please look under school vacation camp.
